“…My oh my oh ,what a wonder-full day”. Do you recognize the words? They were sung by “Ol’ Uncle Remus” Lessons forgotten with age. in the, now unavailable, Disney Studios movie ‘SONG OF THE SOUTH’. The times, they’ve been a changin’.(?)

Today is one such wonder filled day, as in, the campaign event perpetrated by the grand ol’ party down in Selma, Alabama at the Edmund Pettus Bridge by Presumptive Presidential candidate, The, ( “aunahraubull”), Republican Senator John McCain of the state of Arizona was retracing familiar steps, (In the hopes the that MLK “thing” has been forgotten!), seeking to attract “THE BLACK VOTE” during the comming national elections. Mr. McCain strode the span of a federally funded roadway named for a Confederate Brigadier General, this same span that was included in the route taken by Civil Rights Marchers on their mission to Montgomery, Alabama Sunday, March 7, 1965. McCain did have a group strolling with him, as I would think that he took every moment he could, to get his campaign video-graphic collage in order. (History like this is great filler for a PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY!)

The McCain entourage didn’t sport much of a SEPIA-TONE for the many photo-ops taken, and the Democratic Party representative wasn’t able to get to a tanning salon for help. One personage that may have helped would have been John Lewis to represent those who Mr. McCain was seeking. John Lewis was the FIRST marcher attacked by Police that Sunday, the first vicious baton QUITE familiar with the Edmund Pettus Bridge!blow was placed in the stomach, doubled over the officer then “Ty Cobbed” him with his weapon to etch a permanent remembrance in, now, Democratic Rep. Lewis’ skull. Described as PATRIOTS who brought no weaponry of any type, except the belief in America, its promises and it to become a better place for non-white Americans is how McCain described the marchers.

John McCain spoke to an audience that was only one-fifth the size of the group that crossed on that fateful Sunday. Of the one- hundred, or so, attendees fewer than a dozen people of color dared to return to the forty-three year old “Stomping Ground”.

McCain will lead the ‘Pachyderm Pride’ to the town of Gee’s Bend where the hope is that he’ll pay full price for the rare, custom, hand-woven quilts famous for the region. I doubt that he will, or can, given his campaign fund situation. In going to the places that this ‘candidate’ is I wonder if Senator John Sidney McCain III feels the same urge and trepidations as those who he is trying to lure back to the ‘PACHYDERM’ PLANTATION COALITION’ …43, tough, years ago?… AND NOW.

Has anyone taken time to pose the question of John Sidney McCain III becoming our Commander-In-Chief to John Lewis? Both men suffered at the hands of hate filled, angry men. The question is can John McCain choose to let in the light of HEALING? Will the American electorate allow him?

A New York farmer made his place in history during the war of 1812. No one knows why each fresh butchered barrel of beef had the curious U.S. marking on the side of the copious shipments to the soldier’s camps, but there was no doubt of its quality. Friendly jibes were made to the cattleman’s proficient prowess providing packaged provisions. The war was too soon after the fight for independence so anyone who could provide for our ‘Peace Keepers’ had a ton of respect. As the war evolved so did Samuel Wilson’s admirations and thanks for his contributions, plus a bit of legend.

‘Uncle Sam’ Wilson had made sure that his government contracts were filled and correct, this made him a symbol of what the ‘American’ work ethic was to be modeled after, good service for what was paid for. A SYMBOL like that hadThe troy,ny farmer to be immortalized, or at least made into a cartoon. Thus the famous ink-slinger Thomas Nast, ( no relation to Conde’.), made most of the first of his talents of pencils, pens and inks thus giving us our personification of what a proper business mode should strive to be. (LOOK at any business today and TRY to put ONE President… or C.E.O. in THIS category!). Dick Cheney or Prescott Bush anyone!?! ( ‘Brother’ Ali made a song for these two’s tryout.) As time catches up to us all Samuel Wilson left our presence A.D. 1854 and is buried in his home state of New York.

As every legend worth its salt, OUR ‘Uncle Sam’ comes to us in simple, unassuming reignment, and was so captured by J. M. Flagg with his pencils, pens and inks. a hint of self imagery, ( for posterity.). WWI veteran Walter Botts threw down the IMMORTAL POSE, and “ol’ git ‘er done(!) Samuel Wilson becomes an INTERNATIONAL ICON for just doing his JOB the best way for all who asked.

not fictional anymore. The headline sprawled the thought that the ‘U.S. and Iran are finding a common ground in the “SHIITE” conflict’. ( Int’l. Herald Tribune/4-21-08).

Intimating that SADR has risen to a power that threatens the’ OPECian’ oil priced OH-MAH-GAWDnesses, as well as the U.S. ” Rockefeller RUSE Re- covery Plan”, most professional reporters aren’t looking at their histories, much, anymore. And refuse to correlate anything else.

As has been past noted we here, in my HOME, BIRTH COUNTRY, want the good things that we once enjoyed, to our, and possibly, the WORLD’S downfall as PEOPLE. We don’t see the feint within a feint within the feint that Frank Herbert spelled us witin the books of DUNE. An ‘UUUBER’ powerful, under thoughtful government that has lost track of a Desert (planet’s) ability to change life, and LIVES, from its rock cloistered warrens in its mountains by a, one time rich, leader now forced back to his primal basics. The intrigues of that government having to joust with an education of hyper nascent abilities coupled to a faith older than that government itself, STILL, makes for a good read. After a few years of causing an intended global panic he goes off into the mountains and hides in plain sight, letting havoc grow through those he has trained, taking up the “ISHMAEL-IAN” howls of injustice invoked by ‘history’. This man hid in plain sight simply by walking between the echoes of those howls.Howler\'s seitch.

The interesting thing is that I’m seeing this story as a live global performance. And looking around to see who is taking full, and proper, notes… I see FEW brows KNITTED through vigilant concentration.
And the ‘SPICE’ price is, no longer, set on STUN!

OH, by the way, the protagonist, (Paul Atreides.) his adoptive name was USAL, (the BASE of a PILLAR.), “THE Grand MAH-DI”. His main general was STILGAR… kinda rhymes with SADR. No? In reading the points that are voiced one has to wonder the who’s, as well as the how for these intense and intimate tether pullings. What are they being coupled with, and to? The current food shortages seem to be in very close proximity to genetically altered seeds, as well as tinged by the angelic manipulations of the HAARP. I’m stumped so far, but I will continue to look under every inconvenient rock that I am able to.

As far as I’m concerned the best thing for my part in this event is to come back home, fix and clean my house, yard, block, neighborhood, city, county, state, region, AND NATION. THEN, when they notice that the SILENCE of PEACE is whispering to the other three corners they, too, may learn to bark less and wag more. The path of all living
