the content of cognition; the main thing you are thinking about; “it was not a good idea”; “the thought never entered my mind”
the impression that something is present; “he felt the presence of an evil force”
an impression (especially one that is artificial or contrived); “he just did it for effect”
at the first glimpse or impression; “at first blush the idea possesses considerable intuitive appeal but on closer examination it fails”
an impression that something might be the case; “he had a SLIGHT intuition that something had gone wrong”
notion – a general inclusive concept

an abstract or general idea inferred or derived from specific instances
a traditional notion that is obstinately held although it is unreasonable; “he still holds to the old mumpsimus that a woman’s place is in the kitchen”

NATIONS=Nations or states are independent bodies politic; societies of men united together for the purpose of promoting their mutual safety and advantage by the joint efforts of their combined strength.

But every combination of men who govern themselves, independently of all others, will not be considered a nation; a body of pirates, for example, who govern themselves, are not a nation. To constitute a nation another ingredient is required. The body thus formed must respect other nations in general, and each of their members in particular. Such a society has her affairs and her interests; she deliberates and takes resolutions in common; thus becoming a moral person who possesses an understanding and will peculiar to herself, and is susceptible of obligations and rights.

It belongs to the government to declare whether they will consider a colony which has thrown off the yoke of the mother country as an independent state; and until the government have decided on the question, courts of justice are bound to consider the ancient state of things as remaining unchanged.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

a reason for= freedom [In so many words.]

As we begin a new administration of leadership I thought that a small outline of what the NOBLER reasons for our being here, and so many WANTING to be here, could be “rounded up” and placed in front of “the huddled masses” to rethink of why we’ve found ourselves ACCEPTING what OUR “ELECTED” have “STEERED” us into. (You know it’s ALL about their BULL and any MARKET they can SELL the plentiful B(u)y- Products.) The sad fact is that WE have let ‘someone else do the jobs that are OURS by RIGHT of DESIGN, ( it’s unique to our needs.), and profound OWNERSHIP for us.

I cannot write your unique dissertation of life, but I CAN remind you of WHY you choose what you do.With a few very BASIC (re)building blocks we may be able to reset the ORIGINAL parameters that set this NATION on its intended course. This post is an intensional catalyst for that RE-VIEWING of the “notion”.

    The people who wrote the Constitution and signed it had the benefit of experience in the world and were wise.

    I am not American but my children, are so I have an interest in their well being.

    The Constitution and Bill of Rights have been ignored many times in the name of expediency and other excuses. The Supreme court has made a few bad decisions as well.

    The country would be better off if the foundation was adhered to.
